The CMA-ICWAI Intermediate Course, also known as the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWAI) Intermediate Course, is a twelve-month course that serves as the second level | stage of study after completing the foundation course on the path to becoming a Cost Accountant. Cost and Management Accountancy, Statistics, Auditing, Tax Laws and Tax Planning, Organization & Management Fundamentals, Accounting, Economics and Business Fundamentals, and other subjects and themes are covered in the ICWAI course.
At the time of admission the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWAI) at the time of admission, students are given study materials. CMA Intermediate Exams are held twice a year, in June and December.

- A student passed the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) and the Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India | Graduation in any field other than Fine Arts | Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India | (Entry Level) Part I of the Institute | CAT Foundation's Examination (Entry Level) Part I: Exam and Level of Competency Part II of the Institute's CAT Examination.

Note:
- The 2nd Installment of Rs. 10,000/- must be paid on or before the 31st January for the June term and the 31st July for the December term of examinations to be eligible to appear in Intermediate examinations.
- If the student fails to pay the second payment within the given timeframe specified in point 1, the installment facility will be extended for the next three terms. The second installment must be paid by the due dates (on or before 31st January for June term and 31st July for December term of examinations).
- No student may appear for the Intermediate examination unless the second installment has been paid.
- Failure to pay the second payment within the time constraints specified in points 1 and 2 will result in loss of the amount previously paid as the first installment, with the exception of Registration Fees, which seem to be valid for 7 years from the date of registration.
- After paying the first installment, the student will get study materials for both groups and will be able to choose between oral and postal coaching for either Group (Group I | II).
- After paying the second installment, the student will be able to choose between oral | postal group coaching, computer coaching, and other coaching.

When to Apply for CMA - ICWA 2025:
The ICMAI course is open for registration year around. Students who wish to appear for the June Term Examination must apply by the 31st of January of that year, and students who wish to appear for the December Term Examination must apply by the 31st of July of that year.
